Psychotherapy is warranted when a client has a mental health issue such as major depression or social anxiety disorder. Treatment can be short-term, focused on symptom reduction, or longer-term, focused on deeper or more complex issues. Psychotherapy can be very effective in treating a wide variety of mental health issues.

I pull from a variety of related and collaborative approaches in the treatment of mental health issues. These treatments are considered evidence-based, meaning they are supported by extensive outcome research and direct practice evidence that together validate their efficacy. They include a humanistic foundation focused on the therapeutic relationship; the inclusion of positive psychology principles, strength building, and resilience; as well as specific techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy to identify and counter faulty and negative thinking and brief solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing to identify goals and bring about change.

My office is located at 10512 NE 68th St, Kirkland, WA 98033 Kirkland. I accept private pay and Blue Cross, Blue Shied, Regence, Premera, and First Choice Insurance.

Rather than focusing on mental health problems, coaching focuses more on positive traits, skills, and beliefs and works to strengthen these as a means to overcome obstacles and achieve personal and professional success. Coaching can help individuals identify and build on their strengths to facilitate peak performance; can focus on specific tasks like improving motivation, countering self-doubt, improving communication, or polishing interpersonal skills; or can be more broadly focused to help individuals improve their overall well-being.

I practice positive solution-focused coaching that includes setting collaborative goals, identifying strengths, building resilience, and aligning activities with one’s values to facilitate continued growth and improvement. My coaching style is interactive, collaborative, and action-oriented. I believe we are at our best when our values, strengths, and goals are in alignment.

I have office space for us to meet in Kirkland. I can also travel to you. Phone sessions are available after an initial face-to-face meeting. Hourly, retainer, and multi-session coaching packages are available. Contact me to talk about your goals and how I might be able to help you achieve them.
